Vietnam Airlines flight to Heathrow makes emergency landing in Sochi
A British passenger died of a suspected heart attack as a Vietnam Airlines jet made an emergency landing in Russia's Sochi today.
The man was found dead when the Heathrow-bound flight landed at Sochi International Airport.
The captain reported a medical emergency on board after the passenger suffered a suspected heart attack, it was reported in Russia.
Paramedics rushed to the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the tarmac in Sochi, on the coast of the Black Sea, but the man was pronounced dead, his body was being returned to Britain by the same aircraft, according to Russian reports.
The plane landed at 5.17am local time (3.17am BST). After refuelling it took off for London at 8.06am (6.06am), the Sun reported.
