Vladimir Putin expresses condolences over terrorist attack in Lahore
Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered condolences to Pakistan’s President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over the terrorist attack in the city of Lahore.
He stressed that this crime is more evidence of the barbaric and inhuman essence of terrorism, which does not have mercy upon anyone to achieve its criminal goals.
"The Russian side supports the efforts of Pakistan’s authorities in the fight against the terrorist threat and is interested in further boosting international cooperation in the anti-terrorism sphere – both at the regional and global level," the Kremlin website cited Putin as saying.
Russia's President expressed confidence that the contractors and perpetrators of the terrorist attack will be punished. He offered condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
