Xi Jinping to visit North Korea for first time
Chinese President Xi Jinping will make his first state visit to North Korea this week, state broadcaster CCTV announced.
He will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during the visit on June 20-21. The leaders will exchange views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
Xi’s visit at the invitation of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would mark the first visit by a Chinese leader in 14 years, the AP reported.
The visit coincides with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and North Korea.
