Moscow to host CIS youth forum
Moscow will host a forum “CIS youth – future of public diplomacy”. Delegations of public youth organizations, members of Unions of Writers and Poets, leaders of youth parties, teachers and writers, journalists and historians and specialists in culture and cultural heritage are arriving for the forum. A total of 130 people are expected.
The main events will be held at the Ladoga Center for International Trade at the Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment at 10:00 am on December 14. Russian state and public authorities, heads of the Russian Foreign Ministry and Federal Agency, officials of the Federation Council, the president’s administration for regional and cultural ties with foreign states, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of CIS states and the Russian Council for Foreign Affairs will arrive for the forum.
Attendees will discuss current challenges and the role of public youth diplomacy, cooperation of youth organization in the post-Soviet space, advanced methods and technologies of public diplomacy and social obligations.
K.S. Khoruzhnikov, Chairman of the League of International Youth Diplomacy, Chairman of the International Organization Committee of the G-20Y summit, Y. Mikhalchenko, Chairman of the Youth Parliamentary Assembly of the Russian Federation Council, and others are among active participants. Students of the MGIMO, RUDN, MGU, MAI and other higher education centers are taking part.
Alexander Zharkov (Ukraine) will discuss “young regions” and formation of a system of information exchange between public organizations and specialists of science and culture of the CIS.
