Uranium reduction in Iran has no political motivation

Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the Iranian Organization for Atomic Energy, said that reduction of uranium enriched to 20% had no political motivation, Trend reports.

The IAEA said that Iran had almost stopped enriching uranium to 20%. It has stockpiled 240-250kg of uranium enriched to 20%. Earlier reports predicted that it will have enough uranium for nuclear weapons in mid-2014.

The Institute for Science and International Security (US) said that it will be achievable with installation of 1,000 centrifuges for uranium enrichment at Natanz and Fordow. The IAEA was advised to inspect Iranian facilities at least twice a week.
