Ukrainian parliament to decide fate of Yatsenyuk today
The Ukrainian parliament will decide whether to dismiss Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk or not today. 239 members (226 minimal needed) voted for a closed-door session, RIA Novosti reports.
Speaker of Parliament Oleksandr Turchynov clarified that information about some issues they were planning to discuss was secret, including a report by the defense minister, issues of the Cabinet, bills and ratification of agreements with Australia and the Netherlands concerning the Malaysian Boeing crash.
Yatsenyuk filed a resignation note because of a schism in the coalition in the parliament and the blocking of governmental initiatives. At least 226 votes of MPs are needed to dismiss the prime minister.
