Georgia and U.S. discuss military cooperation
Georgian Defense Minister Irakly Alasania and U.S. Army Secretary John McHugh have discussed Georgian-U.S. military cooperation, relations between the Georgian Armed Forces and the U.S. army in Europe, training of Georgian officers and sergeants today, Trend reports.
McHugh emphasized the importance of Georgian-U.S. partnership and expressed readiness to activate bilateral cooperation.
The visit of U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel was noted.
Alasania emphasized that the U.S. official had assured Georgia of active support in improving its defense potential and implementation of the package granted at the NATO summit in Wales.
