Head of Azerbaijani mobile operator named Moldova’s prime minister
The former head of Azerbaijani mobile communications operator Azercell, Chiril Gaburici, was approved as Moldova’s Prime Minister. Gaburici headed Azercell until January 1, 2015, earlier he worked 14 years in TeliaSonera system.
60 of 101 deputies of the Moldovan Parliament, including liberal democrats, democrats and communists, supported the candidacy of Gaburici.
After the vote Gaburici said that it would be quite realistic for Moldova to join the European Union within the next few years. At the same time, Moldova will pay special attention to relations with Romania, Ukraine and Russia.
According to Moldovan mass media, the new Prime Minister owns Green Property SRL, which specializes in agriculture, Halat-Auto SRL and has a 33% share in M-Docs SRL.
