Lavrov and Nalbandian to discuss the agenda of Putin's visit to Yerevan

The foreign ministers of Armenia and Russia Sergei Lavrov and Edward Nalbandian will discuss the implementation of agreements reached earlier by the heads of the two states.


"We have a tradition of regular visits between the two countries. Our countries have a vast agenda as concerns bilateral relations, Eurasian integration, union relations within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, in international organizations, including the UN and the OSCE," TASS cited the Russian minister. He added that he looks forward to a fruitful discussion aimed at the implementation of the agreements reached by the presidents of Russia and Armenia.Nalbandian, in his turn, said that today's meeting is a good opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues, including economic and parliamentary ties. "Our defense agencies are cooperating successfully, and military-technical cooperation continues. We will use this opportunity to share our views on regional issues, and, of course, to discuss the progress of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," he added.Sergei Lavrov and Edward Nalbandian will also discuss preparations for a possible visit of the Russian President in Armenia to mark the anniversary of the 'Armenian Genocide'.
