Turkey deported 1,200 ISIS volunteers

 

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said at the academic center of the Turkish Foreign Ministry in Ankara today that 1,200 foreigners volunteering to enter Syria to join the ranks of ISIS were deported. 12,500 people were blacklisted as ISIS associates, RIA Novosti reports.The minister added that about 5,000 people had been blacklisted in January in an effort to stop the stream of militants crossing the Turkish-Syrian border. Cavusoglu emphasized that the personas put were put on the list according to Turkish intelligence, not foreign.
