Azerbaijani gas to be delivered to Bulgaria

The agreement on construction of the pipeline for delivery of Azerbaijani gas from Greece to Bulgaria has been signed, Bulgarian Minister of Energy, Temenuzhka Petkova said.


“Construction work will start in March 2016 and the project will be implemented by the second half of 2018. To cover expenses for construction (EUR 220 million) we will apply for a grant from the European Commission,” abc.az cited Petkova.Bulgaria plans to receive 1 billion cu ml of Azerbaijani gas a year through the Greece-Bulgaria-Romania pipeline. The gas will be delivered to Greece through TANAP and TAP.
