Margvelashvili: Georgia and Belarus share good past to build better future

Relations between Minsk and Tbilisi are based on a good past to build an even better future, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili said during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

The Georgian President also praised the significance of Lukashenko's visit. "I am confident that your visit will serve as a basis for strengthening the relations we have today," BelTA cited Margvelashvili.

"Your attitude to Georgia and the Georgian people is an excellent foundation to develop relations," he noted.

"I think that in many aspects the relations between Belarus and Georgia can set an example for other countries. So we embark on a good and interesting trip to the future, to our future cooperation," Giorgi Margvelashvili concluded.
