White House: EU suffers from sanctions against Russia more than US
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said during the G7 summit in Germany that a number of EU countries "are making some sacrifices" in the sanctions war with Russia and are suffering more than the US.
"We should not underestimate the importance of our European allies and partners who work with us to impose these sanctions. Many of the countries that we’re counting on to continue to enforce these sanctions are countries that do so at some sacrifice to their own economies," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
According to Earnest, a number of EU countries have economies that are more integrated with Russia than the United States is.
