Days of Russian Language in Armenia

Armenia will hold the Fourth Days of Russian Language to mark the 20th anniversary of the CIS on October 3-9, ArmInfo reports.

The days will be held under the patronage of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.

A new shop Dom Russkoy Knigi will open, and Osip Mandelstam readings will be organized, as well as a round table on Russian-language media space in Armenia. All 1400 schools of Armenia will have a “Russian hour”. An exhibition of translated literature will be organized, a Gala-Concert “Youth of Armenia – 20 years of Commonwealth” will be held. Writers, poets and artists will have meetings.

This year’s Days of Russian Language are noteworthy for the opportunity to express views on Russian literature for its speakers in Armenia.
