Kiev center cleared of protest barricades by police
Police in Kiev unblocked the roads of barricades set up by pro-EU protesters in the city center yesterday, RIA Novosti reports.
Protests in Kiev erupted on November 21 after the government halted the EU association process. Protesters barricaded themselves at the government quarters on Sunday and blocked streets.
Part of the Grushevskaya Street at the European Square and the crossing of the Luteranskaya and Kruglouniversitetskaya Streets were unblocked. A court officer read out the court’s decisions in other parts of the city occupied by protesters.
