Iran and Pakistan hold joint naval drills

The Iranian and Pakistani Naval Forces are carrying out joint drills near the port of Bandar-Abbas, in the eastern part of the Hormuz Strait, Trend reports.Pakistani ships and submarines entered the Bandar-Abbas water area on April 5.About 40% of all world oil exports go through the Hormuz Strait. Iran has threatened to block the strait several times over disputes about its nuclear program. The Iranian Naval Forces have been beefing up protection for maritime routes and secure trade ships and tankers.
