Russian and US universities to strengthen cooperation

A network partnership between leading universities of Russia and the US, particularly between the Association of American Universities, which includes 62 leading universities of the USA and Canada, and associations of Russian universities is intended to be developed by the Russian Ministry of Education, the Minister of Education and Science, Dmitry Livanov, said during a meeting with the Chancellor of the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA), Gene Block. 


UCLA is one of the leading universities of the United States within the elite of the world of higher education: it is traditionally among the top 20 universities according to the rating systems of QS and the Times Higher Educational Supplement. 


"At the end of the meeting, Dmitry Livanov and Gene Block agreed to form financial instruments to support inter-university cooperation, including academic mobility of students and of the teaching staff," TASS cited the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
