A year ago, on September 27, the occupying forces of Armenia fired at the positions of the Azerbaijani army and peaceful settlements. The armed forces of Azerbaijan launched a counter-offensive operation that lasted 44 days. As a result, the Azerbaijani territories that had been under Armenian occupation for 30 years were libarated. In accordance with the order of President Ilham Aliyev, as a sign of respect for the memory of the soldiers and officers who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of the country, September 27 is celebrated in Azerbaijan as Memorial Day.
