Russian laws to be adopted for functioning of Islamic financing institutes

Russian legislative system will not be an obstacle for Islamic financing institutes of Russia, the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated in Dubai, RIA Novosti reports.

“Our bank laws partially don’t correspond to work with Islamic financing, but we have analyzed this issue and it appears the problem can be solved,” Minnikhanov stated at the opening ceremony of Annual Investment Meeting 2011 in Dubai.

According to him, Islamic banks are necessary for Russia.

Islamic financing is a system of dealing with bank affairs according to the religious principles of Islam.

Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja said that Helsinki is ruling out new sanctions if they are needed as the situation develops, but there is no clear picture.  "Finland is ready to support additional sanctions if the situation requires it," RIA Novosti cited him as saying. In this case, the Foreign Minister pointed out that "at the moment there is no clear picture".

The United States presidential administration does not rule out new sanctions against Russia.  "If Russia escalates its activities in the Ukraine, the United States will look for ways to increase the pressure in consultation with Europe," RIA Novosti cited the representative.  He did not specify exactly which sanctions he was talking about.

Real Adygea Cheese is only manufactured by enterprises of Adygea, Adygea Leader Aslan Tkhakushinov said. The Molzavod Shovgenovsky is the primary factory licensed to produce Adygea Cheese. Two other dairy factories have received licenses. Two others have filed bids for licenses, Interfax reports.
