Russia to form Ministry for Renewable Resources
The Russian government plans to form the Ministry for Renewable Resources to monitor fishing, forests and hunting, Kommersant reports.
The Presidential Administration has been discussing the idea since Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s order to his deputy Arkady Dvorkovich to work on the problem in December 2012.
The new ministry will be formed basing on the Federal Agency for Fishing which will no longer be part of the Agriculture Ministry. Medvedev said in his note that fishing in Russia was declining.
