Iraq strikes against militants of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant The Air Force of the Iraqi government delivered today an airstrike on rebel groups of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant who tried to capture the country's largest oil refinery in Baiji, Al-Jazeera reports referring to the Iraqi government. Warplanes bombed eight vehicles on which the militants had attacked government troops guarding the refinery, Associated Press reports, referring to the official representative of the government of Iraq on security, Sabah al-Nuaman. In early June, the town of Baiji, located two hundred kilometers north of Baghdad, was seized by militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (LIH).
