Yerevan to host sixth march for non-smokers

The World Healthcare Organization (WHO) marks World No Tobacco Day on
May 31. WHO published a report, stating that smoking will kill about 6
million people this year, 600,000 of whom are passive smokers.

8 million people will die annually after 2030 unless additional
measures are taken. 100 million smokers died in the 20th century. 1
billion will die in the 21st century with the current rate, the
organization said.

Yerevan will hold a march for non-smokers. It will start at the
American University and end at the Armenian Youth Fund. The march was
organized by a public organization - "Armenia Without Tobacco".
