Crimea is preparing for a rapid deterioration in the weather
A cold snap is expected already from January 7 in central Russia.
The air temperature is dropping to -4o F at night and 5o F during the day. It is assumed that the cold temperatures will continue for several days, RIA Novosti reports. The Russian ministry for emergencies has already prepared 57 stationary, 9 movable heating centers and 11 feeding centers on the main roads of the peninsula.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds climbers that strict compliance with the mountain code of conduct, as well as registration with a tourist group are necessary. Search and rescue units will be operating around the clock. The Crimean energy system is also ready for a sharp cold snap.
According to the Minister of Fuel and Energy of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Yegorov, bad weather could cause problems, but energy experts are ready to resolve any problems or breaks in cables.
